Kindle Edition Short Stories Editorial Review
Cuentos is a remarkable compilation of John Cheever's short stories that showcases the evolution of his distinctive narrative style, chronicling the American life from the 1940s through the 1960s. The book is published by RANDOM HOUSE and presents a generous 1134 pages of quality literature, featuring elegant prose that captures the complexities of everyday life. Readers have noted the beauty of Cheever's storytelling, particularly how his tales reveal the hidden truths behind societal appearances. However, some have experienced minor issues with formatting in the Kindle edition, which could detract from the overall enjoyment. The book serves as a great introduction for newcomers to his work while appealing to long-time fans as well.
